Mari Tunby, assistant director (policy)
Mari Tunby is the assistant director for policy at CBI Scotland. She looks after the team’s public affairs and public relations engagements and leads policy work around devolved economic powers in Scotland. Originally from Northern Norway, Mari has public policy degrees from University College London and the University of York and previously worked in the CBI’s head office in London. Before that she worked in political monitoring and media analysis in UK and conducted freelance social research for the independent research and advisory group Counterpoint. email@example.com
Lauren Paterson, senior policy executive
Lauren Paterson is CBI Scotland’s senior policy executive and is responsible for policy development on a number of areas including; education and skills, employment law and infrastructure. Further responsibilities include working with members to ensure that the Scottish Government and its public agencies deliver policies that will create a dynamic and vibrant Scottish economy; and to ensure that their views are fed into the CBI’s UK and international policy making and lobbying.
Colette Cunningham, events executive
Colette is responsible for organising all of the Flagship events, in Scotland, ranging from annual dinners, annual lunches to high level seminars on key business issues, to receptions with leading politicians in the Scotland Office residence of Dover House in London.
Colette is a director of the Scottish North American Business Council which is the Scottish Chapter of the British American Business Council.
Colette has worked for CBI Scotland in a range of roles for more than 25 years, taking up her current role in 2005. Colette studied at University of West of Scotland and has BA in Business and Law.
Sandra McGurk, team administrator
Sandra McGurk is CBI Scotland & Northern Ireland’s administrator where she is responsible for office management, updating and ensuring the CBI’s CRM system is up-to-date, organises Council meetings, roundtable, various committee meetings and appointments
