Malcolm Hyde: Director, CBI South East
As the CBI's director for South East England, Malcolm is responsible for managing and developing relationships with a number of the largest companies in the UK; recruiting new members to the CBI; and central and regional lobbying. In addition the CBI delivers a programme of policy and best practice events for CBI members and regional stakeholders.
Malcolm's responsibilities also extend to overseeing the principal representative CBI body in the region, the Regional Council, which comprises chief executives, chairmen and board members of CBI member companies from a cross sector and size of businesses.
He is a board member of the Surrey Economic Partnership, the South East Business Forum and is a member of the Advisory Board of The Marwell Wildlife Trust.
Prior to joining the CBI in 1998, Malcolm's career involved senior management positions in a wide range of sectors in the UK and abroad, including commercial and residential property; leisure and farming; manufacturing; and brewing.
