Meet the Team

Simon MooreSimon Moore: Regional director

Simon Moore was formerly the regional chairman for Barclays Corporate in the south west and south Wales. He was born and educated in the region, is a graduate of Exeter University and served in The Gloucestershire Regiment before a 20-year career in corporate banking. He has worked in London, New York and, for the past nine years, Bristol. 

Simon recently acted as a consultant to Grant Thornton in Bristol and is a governor at the University of the West of England. He is also a former council member of CBI South West, a board member of the Government Office of the South West, and a member of the Bristol Common Purpose Advisory Group.

Sarah Morris: Assistant regional director, South West

Sarah provides account management of CBI South West members, and manages the South West Environment Committee, Strategic Human Resources Forum and South West Business and Higher Education Forum. Sarah, who has previously worked as business development manager with a health and safety charity,  also contributes to South West events and to policy work at regional level.

Price,Ian_163Ian Price: Assistant regional director: Wales and South West

Ian’s role entails recruiting new members and retaining current members for Wales and the South West. He also runs the Enterprise Forum in Wales and monitors SME procurement in the public sector. Ian has responsibility for schools engagement for members in the South West and runs a series of regular private member dinners in Wales and the South West. Prior to joining the CBI, Ian was a director of Acorn Recruitment for 10 years and before that served in the RAF.

Jennifer StrongJennifer Strong: Regional executive, Wales and South West

Jennifer provides research, briefing and policy input for member engagement in the South West and Wales. She also supports the policy development function and the analysis of key policy responses. Jennifer develops and maintains communication channels with members and stakeholders including the Wales and South West websites and the Wales update.  Jennifer studied politics, social philosophy and applied ethics at Cardiff University and previously worked at the Welsh Assembly Government. 

Amanda Buckley: Marketing Executive,  Wales and the South West

Amanda is responsible for planning and carrying out a programme of CBI commercial events across Wales and the South West. From initial planning to making sure that all elements come together on schedule on the day, Amanda manages sponsors, speakers and the marketing and publication of all events. Amanda worked for the CBI covering maternity in 2008, then returned as a permanent member of the team in 2010, having previously worked as a TV production co-ordinator for BBC Entertainment.

Emma Georgiades: Regional Administrator, Wales and the South West

Emma arranges the CBI Wales and South West Council Meetings, Act as PA to the Director’s, provides administrative support to the team, provides support for member meeting preparation and follow up, is responsible for non-commercial events and ad hoc meetings and is office manager for the Cardiff Office.  Emma joined the CBI after her job at RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) Wales.
