Richard Butler: Director CBI West Midlands
Richard Butler joined CBI in March 2011, having previously headed up the international business activities for over 10 years at Advantage West Midland where he worked alongside a number of leading international businesses including Deutsche Bank, Airbus, Bosch, Microsoft and Sega amongst many others. In this role Richard managed an international sales team based across the world. As a result he travelled extensively and has considerable experience of doing business across Europe, North America, Japan, India and China. His inward investment career started in the mid-1980s when he promoted the first phase of enterprise zones in Dudley - 25 years later sees the return of the new round of enterprise zones as an economic policy tool in the region in the Black Country, Birmingham, Hereford and Oxfordshire.
