The CBI construction council believes that the government and the industry working together can drive down the cost of infrastructure. The government can use its unique position as the largest client to the sector to create a lean and efficient supply chain that drives efficiency by adopting procurement best practice, standardising design and creating economies of scale. The sector is ready and eager to deliver cost reduction and increased value for money.
