Meet the team
Matthew Fell, director for competitive markets
Matthew Fell is director for competitive markets, with responsibility for leading CBI policy on financial services and the creative industries. He is also responsible for the CBI's work on the knowledge economy including digital and intellectual property issues, as well as corporate governance, company reporting and competition policy. Matthew joined the CBI in July 1999, and his previous roles include head of corporate affairs, head of enterprise and senior policy adviser for manufacturing.
Emma Wild, head of knowledge economy and markets
Emma heads the CBI's creative industries campaign, representing companies in film, music, TV, publishing and fashion and covering issues such as intellectual property, access to finance, skills and digital infrastructure. Emma previously had responsibility for CBI policy on climate change, in particular energy efficiency and consumer engagement. Before that Emma was a senior policy adviser focusing on planning policy and business rates.
Samantha Abrahams, policy adviser
Sami is CBI's policy adviser for the knowledge economy. Her remit includes the creative industries, intellectual property issues and the digital economy. Sami previously worked as a researcher in the UK Parliament. She graduated from Nottingham University with a First Class Honours degree in History and Politics.
