Macroeconomic analysis
The CBI's economic analysis group is responsible for monitoring, analysing and formulating a view on UK and global macroeconomic developments and the economic outlook
What we do
The team periodically conducts work on economic issues of relevance. This is in addition to our quarterly economic forecast and the analysis of the CBI's business surveys.
We give policy makers, analysts and our members our views and analysis but also use intelligence from these sources to formulate our own assessment of economic trends.
Our work forms a key contribution to the CBI's policy campaigns, providing economic rigour and background analysis.
