Getting your employees engaged in the climate change debate is key to helping your company grow sustainably.

Increasingly employees are looking to their companies to demonstrate credible green credentials and show that they are taking action to reduce their environmental impact.

Embedding sustainable practices throughout your company can only be achieved if everyone in the business shares the same ambition.

Any successful sustainability policy should be focused on getting your employees to be part of driving forward the ideas generation, communication and long-term vision.

An engaged workforce that is committed to driving forward your company's sustainability plan means that everyone in the business is focused on achieving the same goal.

The CBI has produced a guide for companies looking to set-up employee engagement programmes focused on sustainability. There's no single or 'right' way to do this, but the practical tips in this guide should help you roll-out an employee engagement programme which suits your business.

- Listen to Donna Young, head of climate change at BT, discuss the importance of employee engagement with the CBI's head of climate change, Rhian Kelly.
