In order to demonstrate leadership on climate change the UK government has set challenging carbon reduction targets for 2020 and beyond. With British businesses accounting for about half of all emission in the UK, the implications for companies from across the economy are immense.

Business also offers the solutions by designing new low carbon offerings and in helping their employees make low carbon choices which can reduce their emission in the workplace and at home.

This one-day summit brings together business experts and leading politicians to discuss the progress of carbon reduction initiatives to date and will explore the changes that will be necessary for UK businesses to remain competitive in a low carbon economy.

Speakers will consider how government policy can be used to promote carbon reduction and also how businesses can adapt their strategic approach not only to shrink their carbon footprint but also to benefit from the emerging opportunities that have become available.
