Emily Jones is an Associate Professor at the Blavatnik School of Government and a Fellow of University College, University of Oxford. Emily directs the Global Economic Governance Programme, which is dedicated to fostering research and debate into how global markets and institutions can better serve the needs of people in developing countries. Her research examines government practices in asymmetric negotiations in the global economy, with a focus on international trade and financial regulation. She teaches graduate degree courses on the international economic relations of governments and executive short courses on trade negotiations. She is a member of the World Economic Forum Global Future Council on Trade and Investment.
Before entering academia, Emily worked on international trade policy in the UK Department for International Development, in Ghana's Ministry of Trade and Industry, and for Oxfam GB. Emily holds a DPhil in International Relations from the University of Oxford.
