Romana Abdin was appointed CEO of Simplyhealth in 2013, having spent 13 years as an Executive Director with the business, responsible for Corporate Affairs and People. Romana started her career as a Barrister in London specialising in Corporate and Commercial Law. She believes in constantly challenging herself and left the Bar to work in industry moving from the Entertainment industry to Financial Services.

On becoming CEO of Simplyhealth Romana made a commitment to its people, customers, healthcare professionals and charities to be brave to evolve the business, building on its 146 year heritage of addressing health inequality. Simplyhealth’s purpose is improving access to healthcare, because we believe no one should go without the healthcare support they need. A bold purpose, achieved by simply making it easy, for the many and for the long term.
