We are delighted to invite you to book for the CBI Autumn Dinner on 16 November 2017, this year we will be joined by CBI’s Deputy Director-General for Policy and Campaigns, Josh Hardie.
The dinner will be held at the remarkable Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, located on the campus of the University of East Anglia. A stunning venue and the first major public building designed by renowned architect, Norman Foster.
Josh will give an update on the challenging political landscape following the outcome of the UK General Election and the start of the Brexit negotiations, outlining the pivotal role that the CBI is playing in ensuring that the business voice is heard and putting the economy at the forefront of the government’s thinking. Josh will also set out the key role that the UK’s regions and nations will play in boosting the UK’s productivity, through initiatives such as the industrial strategy.
An experienced corporate affairs specialist, Josh joined the CBI from Tesco where he was Group Director for Corporate Responsibility. He was also Head of Corporate Responsibility for four years during his time at Tesco, and has held director-level roles at EdComs Ltd - a leading communications and CSR agency.
Following Josh’s speech, there will be time for the audience to ask questions and help influence the thinking of the CBI. The dinner will also provide an excellent opportunity to engage with your peers in the local business community at this exclusive gathering, with members attending from across the region and representing businesses from all sectors and sizes.
