This event is part of a series which will highlight the different policy areas the CBI is currently working on. Each event will give a different CBI Policy Director the opportunity to discuss the key issues they are currently working on and how they are engaging with both businesses and Government on these.
Across 2017 the CBI will be running a series of policy updates which will give different CBI Policy Directors the opportunity to discuss the key issues they are currently focusing on and how they are engaging with both businesses and the Government on them.
We are therefore delighted to invite you to attend the fourth round of these events which will take place in September and will provide a ‘economic’ update.
Rain Newton-Smith, CBI’s Chief Economist, will lead a discussion with senior representatives from companies of different sizes operating across a variety of sectors, on topics including:
• Businesses’ priorities for the Autumn Budget
• How can the tax system keep pace with, and harness, the new technologies that are changing the way businesses operate and people live and work?
• How will the changes to international tax rules, such as US tax reform, Brexit and the rules of other countries have on UK businesses?
