Mohammed Farooq has over 17 years of experience in the energy sector covering regulated and non-regulated markets. He has a strong track record in driving change, leading projects and delivering business outcomes that are valued by the Customer.
Farooq is a Performance Excellence/Improvement Lead delivering efficiencies and value through process and performance improvements. He is part of a project that has deployed Performance Excellence and Lean throughout National Grid. He is responsible for delivering value for Customers, building capability of employees and management across the System Operator (SO) entity in Lean tools and behaviours to drive business and customer benefits, by providing mentoring, training and coaching. He has coached senior leaders to develop a high-performance environment. In addition to his role as an Improvement lead, Farooq sits on the advisory panel for National Grid’s ONE Employee Resource Group – the multicultural network, advising National Grid on how to become a more inclusive organisation.
