Meet our experts

  • Maxine is the CBI Director for Products, Services & Marketing and leads the CBI Leadership Programme. She is also responsible for providing a range of services for business that support their success. This offer builds on the CBI’s unique insight, intelligence and convening power, working in partnership with member companies to make the most of the expertise across the business community.<br /><br />Maxine has worked in a range of policy and commercial roles during her time at the CBI. Previously leading the policy for the CBI’s thought leadership project on raising ambition for all in schools and managing a portfolio of key CBI members in the FMCG sector. Most recently Maxine was the CBI’s Head of Sectoral Affairs & Member Engagement. Maxine Bligh
  • For many years Sarah has been a champion of CBI’s members, of all sizes and sectors, who operate outside the South of England. Sarah led the CBI’s support for Business North, a network set up to strengthen business engagement at a pan northern level and was the founding Director of the CBI’s Leadership Programme.<br /><br />Sarah has a strong regional background having worked for the Regional Development Agency, One North East and completed a MSC in Urban Policy and Regeneration. Sarah was previously CBI’s director in the North East, directly representing northern businesses to ensure they have a strong voice in regional, national and international policy making.<br /><br />Sarah qualified as a solicitor at Clifford Chance in 1999 and worked internationally in their Shanghai and Hong Kong offices before leaving the law and joining Arthur Andersen Consulting working in London and Chicago. Sarah has a MBA in which her research dissertation focused on the impact of gender on career progression. She supports our work as a facilitator leading our development programmes. Sarah Green
