Danish Presidency to resume discussions on the Unitary Patent
Discussions to reach a final agreement on proposals for the Unitary Patent will continue under the Danish Presidency in the upcoming weeks
Following a lack of consensus on key issues surrounding the unitary patent at the end of 2011, the CBI has urged the Minister for Intellectual Property, Baroness Wilcox, not to allow the patent to be rushed through while industry concerns remain.
We will continue to press for the resolution of key issues, including the transition to exclusivity, clauses relating to judicial practices in the Patent Regulation and the location of the central court as negotiations resume.
