Priciples-based codes can provide effective corporate governance in EU companies
Corporate governance can help shape and improve the quality of boards of directors by setting out best practice principles for boardroom behaviour, structures and accountability.
The CBI endorses the objective of promoting effective corporate governance in EU companies and effective engagement by shareholders as the company's owners, and believes that principles-based Codes are the best way to achieve this.
