Yorkshire and Humber Economic Trends SurveyCBI Yorkshire and the Humber is very pleased to be working closely with Yorkshire Forward in the operation, development and enhancement of the twice a year Regional Economic Trends Survey. This survey, conducted by the CBI on behalf of Yorkshire Forward in March and October will provide a strategically important analysis and indicator of the latest macro-economic and policy issues that are key to this region and key to business. This survey has been developed strategically by the CBI and Yorkshire Forward over the past four years, using the rigorous methodology of the well-established CBI Business Trends Surveys of manufacturing, distribution and services, alongside the regular standard CBI/RDA surveys of ecomomic trends. It combines the regional expertise of Experian Business Strategies fieldwork and analysis with key input from business in this region, based upon our office's extensive contacts with members and business in general. The key benefit of this survey, is the level of detail that is can provide on company activity and opinion, based upon a very robust regional sample of regular and new member and non-member companies. The survey provides a very comprehensive tool for regional business planning and helps strengthen business engagement in Yorkshire Forward's investment planning process. A detailed report will be published jointly by the CBI and Yorkshire Forward and this will be available on release of the data.
