Specialised services for trade associations

The British Business Bureau was established in 1991 to provide the CBI’s trade association members with an additional, tailor-made service in Brussels. The BBB is designed to monitor EU policy developments on behalf of its members. It also provides members with strategic advice on EU lobbying, and facilitates their public affairs operations through event management. The BBB members represent a broad spectrum of industry sectors such as construction, manufacturing, engineering, financial services, transport and the chemicals industry. Last year, the BBB celebrated its 15-year anniversary, and to mark this occasion produced an Anniversary Newsletter (PDF 367kb) which can be downloaded for further information.

A Brussels base through the BBB

The BBB team is based in the CBI’s Brussels Office right next to the European Parliament, in the heart of the EU quarter. The BBB’s office also acts as a Brussels base for its visiting members allowing for easy access to the EU’s key decision-makers. Over the last 15 years the BBB has developed a network of contacts within the EU institutions in Brussels and the BBB has an excellent reputation for bringing industry representatives straight to the key people at the right time.
