What we do

Employment and employee relations are vital issues for the CBI.

Ensuring a flexible labour market and a productive workforce are priorities for business.

The CBI's work on employment covers a number of areas and involves work at UK and EU level - an increasing number of UK regulations are the result of EU directives.

Particular areas covered include trade union recognition and non-union employee involvement (at UK and EU level); working time arrangements, pay and restructuring.
