The Company Affairs GroupWho we areThe Company Affairs Group is a small group of legally qualified policy staff. We formulate CBI policy via member input in order to respond to consultations and to influence policy and legislation at UK or EU level.What we doWe deal mainly with the following areas of policy:
We produce a monthly update for members aimed at finance directors on corporate and financial developments, together with the tax and economics departments. To receive a copy, email financial.update@cbi.org.uk. We also offer legislative tables covering many of these areas to members via our Brussels Office. These tables list current EU legislative proposals in areas such as consumer, financial services and company law. If you would like to find out more about what we offer, email the Brussels office. CommitteesCBI policy is formulated by committees of members with the relevant specialist knowledge, who advise us on how to respond to consultations and on other issues which we should be taking forward with UK government, and the European commission and parliament.The main committees are:
