Holyrood's Enterprise Committee is to hold an inquiry into issues to do with Scotland's financial services industry.
MSPs will investigate employment trends, Scotland's reputation in the sector and ability to attract talent and investment, as well as the availability and cost of credit.
The Committee is also set to examine the creation of the new Scottish Investment Bank.

What should the Scottish government, public bodies and local councils be doing to help firms and the economy navigate the economic downturn and take advantage of the upturn when it comes?
Following lobbying by CBI Scotland, positive progress has already been made on several fronts including: the acceleration of public sector capital spend, prompt payment of supplier invoices, and deferment of part of this year's bumper rise in business rates.
But what other ideas should we be advancing? Contact david.lonsdale@cbi.org.uk with your suggestions.
Does your firm undertake work for local authorities in Scotland? Is your business affected by the performance of councils?
Local councils are responsible for a range of services affecting business, including planning, economic development, trading standards, and transport.
They also raise a sizeable portion of their revenues directly from firms through business rates, charges and fees. We are responding to a Scottish Parliament inquiry into these issues and wants to hear how businesses are and will be affected by the impact of the economic downturn on local government finances and services.
Please contact david.lonsdale@cbi.org.uk if you would like to get involved.
