Our comments on the passing of Martin McGuinness, the former Deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland.
Martin McGuinness served as Deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland and Leader of Sinn Féin in Northern Ireland.
“It is with great sadness that we learn of Martin McGuinness’ death. His statesmanship as deputy First Minister has been central to the success of the peace process over the last decade. Peace is the foundation stone for improving economic prosperity in our region. Much work remains to be done and his passing comes at a time when we need to rededicate ourselves both to nurturing peace and to creating more prosperity for all our citizens."
