The CBI recently launched its new BAME in Tech Group with the first meeting drawing together over 25 BAME executives.
The group exists to:
- Advise and challenge the CBI on major policy issues regarding digital, innovation and diversity
- Share learning and best practice on issues such as BAME pay gaps, progression and board representation
- Build a network of BAME leaders and junior BAME executives across the UK industry.
Members of the group were drawn from the CBI membership, with a broad range of sectors represented. The CBI is keen for the focus of the group to be driven by its members and the first meeting allowed contributors to meet one another and share their views on a wide range of issues.
