Led by City of London, and with more than 10 sponsors already signed up (including CBI members), the campaign is also designed to build awareness of the barriers people face in accessing digital training opportunities.
According to the CBI’s Delivering Skills for the New Economy report, 95% businesses say they’ll need more digital skills in the next few years, yet two thirds of them already have unfilled digital skills vacancies. Less than one third of businesses are confident that the UK business community will be able to access the digital skills they need in the next 3-5 years.
And although both business and government have launched initiatives to tackle the challenge, future.now aims to better map and signpost the most effective.
