Following on from CBI Scotland's Pursuing productivity report, the CBI set up a number of business-led working groups to determine the role of business in improving Scottish productivity.
The report called on business and government to work together to help unlock the 'prize' of a £25 billion boost to the Scottish economy over the next decade.
The report crucially noted that the four main drivers of regional productivity differences in Scotland specifically were:
- Education and skills
- Transport and connectivity
- Management practices and innovation
The working groups will give a steer on what recommendations the CBI makes to Scottish business on each of those drivers.
CBI members who are interested in joining the working groups should contact the CBI Scotland director.
