The British Franchise Association (bfa) recently launched a collaboration within the franchising sector with not-for-profit organisation, Encouraging Women into Franchising (EWIB). The two organisations have joined forces to increase awareness and education of franchising as a great choice for females looking to get into business.
Women currently make up 51% of the UK population but only 17% of business owners. It seems that men are twice as likely to start a business as women but on a positive note, 10% of the female population are thinking of starting a business. For that reason, it’s worth exploring why more women should consider franchising as a suitable option for their future.
The advantage of franchising is that it’s a way into business that offers access to a proven system with an established brand. There is also the added advantage of being ‘in business for yourself, not by yourself’ because you have
