At the tail end of 2019 the CBI Innovation team released our latest policy report – ‘Don’t wait, Innovate’. Building on the work of the CBI’s longstanding campaign to raise UK R&D investment, the report makes calls for action to grow R&D activity across all of the UK and puts forward proposals for how government can kickstart private investment across the country.
Two months on from its launch and we were delighted to see the Science Minister, Chris Skidmore MP, deliver a major speech last Friday on the very same subject and echoing themes covered in our report.
What did we learn from the speech?
