Moving forward together on climate change – an opportunity for the UK

Christiana Figueres had messages of praise, warnings of caution and an opportunity to present to attendees of the CBI Annual Conference, this week.

The former Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change said that for a country whose politics is divided among so many lines, the fact that the need for action on climate change is the one thing that the main political parties of the UK are not divided on is refreshing. “There are certainly differences in how the parties would do it, but the fundamental agreement that we must address climate change is very much part of the reality in this wonderful country,” she said.
