CBI members have been clear that getting the new immigration system right is as important as determining our future trading relationships. Yet until it’s rolled out, businesses don’t yet know who or how they will be able to recruit workers from. CBI speaks out on immigration during the general election campaign
The CBI was to ensure the business voice was heard. Writing in The Times Red Box, Matthew Fell, Chief UK Policy Director, emphasised that incoming ministers must not rush a new immigration system:
