The GDPR Reform Consultation

This autumn, the Department of Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport launched a consultation to explore how the UK can use post-Brexit flexibility to improve the data protection regime. This consultation proposes changes to GDPR that impact how firms use and process personal data.

The consultation asked for insight on:

  1. Reducing barriers to innovation

  2. Easing burden on businesses, and delivering better outcomes for people

  3. Boosting trade and tackling barriers to data flows

  4. Reforming the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)
