Universities can drive economic transformation and help the UK seize the moment to reset and renew.
To coincide with the launch of ‘Seize the Moment’, the CBI convened our Vice Chancellor’s Network to discuss the role of universities in driving social and economic progress over the next decade. Universities are mission-critical to the CBI’s objectives for a more inclusive, innovation rich and regionally prosperous economy. They sit at the heart of towns, cities and regions, anchoring investment, and jobs. They can unleash the technological transformations to support our net-zero goals and help secure the UK’s position as a scientific superpower. They are also key to the diverse talent pipeline and inclusive workplaces our economy and society demands.
This event was hosted in partnership with Tribal Group. CBI President and Chancellor of the University of Birmingham, Lord Karan Bilimoria CBE DL, led the session, with three breakout rooms covering different pillars within the CBI’s economic vision.
