What is the policy about?
The Pensions Regulator (TPR) has published a policy on how they will use new criminal powers introduced by the Pensions Act 2021, following a consultation earlier this year. TPR also published its consultation response.
The policy contains guidance on how TPR will approach the investigation and prosecution of those who put savers’ pensions at risk, through avoidance of employer debt or the offence of conduct risking accrued scheme benefits.
