BE MORE GREEN: INNOVATING TO DELIVER A CIRCULAR ECONOMY
Be More Green aims to get businesses innovating to decarbonise and become more environmentally sustainable. Following the successful release of the Be More Green toolkit in partnership with CGI, we will be hosting a series of events to continue the conversation and support businesses on their green innovation journey.
Achieving a circular economy will play a crucial part of tackling the global challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss, waste, and pollution. The business community has a key role to play in helping create truly circular products, processes and business models. Join us for the second roundtable in our BMG event series: ‘Innovating to deliver a circular economy’.
In this session we will bring together business leaders from across different sectors and business sizes who are leading the way in creating circular business models and contributing to a circular economy. This will be an opportunity to hear what other businesses and sectors are doing in this space and to discuss common challenges businesses face in building a circular economy This session will cover:
- What does the circular economy mean for business?
- What is the business case for contributing to the circular economy?
- How are different businesses approaching innovation for the circular economy, thinking about their products, process and whole business model?
- What are the biggest challenges to achieving a circular economy, and what are the barriers to business participation? (Lack of data, lack of systems understanding for whole lifecycle analysis and barriers to partnerships)
- How can the business community work together to improve progress towards a circular economy?
- How can systems thinking help in working towards the circular economy?
At this roundtable business leaders will have the opportunity to:
- Share common challenges on these issues, and provide examples of work they are doing in this space
- Hear about and share innovative solutions, case studies and best practice to overcome these challenges and shape CBI work
- Network with other leaders interested in this important topic
This is an invitation-only event and will be held in person.
