Unpacking local election results and the Queen’s speech

Local elections and the State Opening of Parliament come this year amidst an unpredictable political environment and cost of living crisis – impacting business, consumers, and government alike.

Join Syma Cullasy-Aldridge (the CBI’s new Chief Campaigns Director), Alice Lilly (Senior Researcher, Institute for Government), and Greg Rosen (Senior Counsel, SEC Newgate UK) for an expert discussion on:

  • What the local elections can tell us about the political state of play in the UK.
  • Notable announcements from the Queen’s Speech and what they mean for business.
  • What we can expect from government ahead of the Autumn Budget and other notable political events.

Webinar recordings are made available on the same day of broadcast between 16:00 and 17:00 and are also available to listen on-demand and on-the-go via Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Deezer, Castbox and Podcatcher. If you have signed up to the webinar, you will be sent a follow-up email with a link to the recording. You can also access all previous recordings on the CBI website.
