Transforming Work takeover: How can business supercharge the reskilling revolution?

Retaining and developing talent has never been more important as businesses manage the impact of COVID-19, emerging job opportunities from growing sectors, and changes to the UK’s relationship with the EU and access to talent.

Research conducted by the CBI before the pandemic found that 90% of the UK’s workforce will need to gain new skills by 2030 at a cost of £13bn a year. Both the government and the CBI share an ambitious vision for reskilling, and this is the opportunity of the century to get this agenda right.

This opening session of the Transforming Work Week will help businesses understand how they can work with the government to overcome skills challenges and supercharge the reskilling revolution. You will hear from expert speakers including:

  • Tony Danker, Director-General, CBI
  • Catherine Foot, Director of Phoenix Insights, Phoenix Group
  • Lynda McVay, Director of Skills and Capability, Leonardo
  • Neil Morrison, Director of Human Resources, Severn Trent Water.

This webinar will be chaired by Ceri Thomas (Editor and Partner, Tortoise Media).

Webinar recordings are made available on the same day of broadcast between 16:00 and 17:00. If you have signed up for the webinar, you will be sent a follow-up email with a link to the recording. You can also access all previous recordings on the CBI website.
