CBI COP26 Hustings - Energy Transition

As world leaders gather in Glasgow for the highly anticipated COP26 fortnight, the CBI will be hosting a series of four hustings.

Each of the hustings will bring forward the business viewpoint on the key themes of the UK COP26 Presidency. These will be convened in the auditorium of Scottish Power’s headquarters in Glasgow and broadcast live online.

Our second in the series on Energy Transition, in partnership with Bain & Company, will focus on how nations can reduce global reliance on fossil fuels and accelerate the rollout of renewables.

Responding to climate change is one of the largest global challenges of the 21st century. With electricity generation, transport, and buildings generating nearly 70% of global CO2 emissions, energy transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources and electrification of usage will underpin this journey.
