CBI Northern Ireland Annual Lunch 2024
Join us on Friday 22 March at Titanic Belfast for the return of our prestigious annual lunch which will bring together senior business leaders from across Northern Ireland. A flagship event in the Northern Ireland business calendar, we will bring together leading CEOs, politicians and policy makers for this prestigious networking event.
Our guest speaker will be George Parker, Political Editor at the Financial Times. George will give his insights into the latest geopolitical developments that shape the global economic environment, he will explore what lies ahead for EU-UK relations should an ‘unpredictable America’ and Trump government emerge. And of course, in an election year, he will be exploring those big issues that are in store for the next UK government. George is also looking forward to taking questions from CBI members.
About George: George has been the FT's Political Editor since 2007, covering major UK events including the financial crash, Brexit, the Covid pandemic, the death of the Queen and the rise and fall of numerous prime ministers. Previously he was the FT's bureau chief in Brussels. He is a presenter of Radio 4's Week in Westminster and regular pundit on radio and television. He was highly commended in the 2020 Press Awards for his political journalism. In his spare time he likes cycling, football, and is a season ticket holder at Crystal Palace FC.
We will also be joined by CBI's Chief Executive, Rain Newton-Smith, who will give insights into her conversations with the Chancellor’s Office and Whitehall officials.
