East Midlands Member Discussion

Your monthly opportunity to join other senior executives to discuss and shape the CBI narrative on the issues that most matter to you.

Join other senior executives to discuss what decisions need to be considered at board level as we tentatively take steps out of lockdown and return to the office. How is business going to communicate, prioritise and structure new working patterns for their workforce whilst remaining productive and competitive?

This member discussion will specifically look at what ‘returning to work’ looks like for different organisations. With the ‘hybrid working model’ frequently cited as the new way of working post-pandemic, what will be required to drive collaboration between office and remote workers and ensure productivity?

Exchange thoughts and ideas in a Chatham House setting chaired by Richard Blackmore, Director of East Midlands, CBI.  The session is designed to provide a space to learn from each other and take away practical ideas for implementation.

Some questions to consider:

  1. How does a business decide how much flexibility it can offer employees to ensure that it remains as commercially successful, productive and competitive in the future?
  2. What is the decision-making process behind that? What’s the cost-benefit analysis?
  3. How do you balance business control and the ability to mandate how the organisation works, with employees having fuller flexibility to decide how they work?

This Webex meeting is for CBI members only.

This event is for Board or Executive Level only.

Webex dial-in details will be sent in the joining instructions a few days before the event once your place has been confirmed.
