East of England Member Discussion on ESG

Your monthly opportunity to join other senior executives to discuss and shape the CBI narrative on the issues that most matter to you. Exchange thoughts and ideas in a Chatham House setting chaired by Richard Tunnicliffe, Director of East of England, CBI.

Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investing has become mainstream, and business leaders are exploring concepts like corporate purpose and stakeholder capitalism. This member discussion will share some of the latest thinking from investors and corporate leaders on the importance of ESG, purpose, and stakeholder capitalism in the next normal, how it relates to value, and how it can be authentically embedded across all facets of the organisational ‘DNA’.

We will be joined by a representative from McKinsey who will share their insight and what businesses need to consider to succeed.

We’ll be asking for your thoughts on:

  • What does ESG mean for your business? What societal outcomes do your stakeholders care about most?
  • What is the value-at-stake? How much value do you create from ESG?
  • What are the top 3 “embedding” actions your business has undertaken to demonstrate the authenticity of your ESG strategy?

The session is designed to provide a space to learn from each other and take away practical ideas for implementation.

This Webex meeting is for CBI members only.

You’ll particularly benefit from this event if you are Board or Executive Level.

Book your place today:
Webex dial-in details will be sent in the joining instructions a few days before the event once your place has been confirmed.
