Finance Directors Network (YH) on Cashflow and Budget

This monthly industry-based Webex meeting is to support those with a significant finance function in their job role and will focus on the key practical issues that your business is facing as the government begins to think about restarting the economy.

As companies adjust and adapt to the challenges and opportunities created by the COVID-19 pandemic, the role of finance leaders has become more demanding and complex.

This Webex will cover:

Cashflow: autumn will be a “perfect storm” of demands on cash for companies due to end of the current government support schemes like the JRS and tax deferrals. We will discuss what companies are doing and what additional government support may be needed.

Autumn Statement and Comprehensive Spending Review: the government will be making two big announcements this autumn. We will review what these could mean for businesses over the next few months.

We will be keen to explore, in Chatham House B2B environment with you, the following questions:

  • What are your major concerns heading into the autumn?
  • Is cash flow a big concern? Is that due to sluggish demand or are there other factors (tax liabilities, continued high fixed costs)
  • What additional actions should the government consider to offer additional support?
