Government Affairs Network

Join us for the first CBI Government Affairs Network of 2024. With the countdown on to the next General Election, we’ll be looking ahead to what 2024 has in store - and we want you to be a part of it.

This session will deliver exclusive insight into the current state of play of UK politics, and what to expect as political parties get into campaign mode. We’ll be looking ahead to what the Government’s legislation proposed in the King’s Speech means for business, and with Chancellor beginning his Spring Budget planning, we’ll have an overview of the shape of the UK economy.

Our guest speaker will be Lee Cain. Lee served as Downing Street's Director of Communications under Prime Minister Boris Johnson. A respected political strategist, Lee has been a key advisor in multiple campaign victories including the 2019 General Election, 2019 Conservative leadership election and the 2016 EU Referendum. He is also credited with creating the ‘Stay Home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives’ strategy during the Covid-19 pandemic.
