15 June 2021
13:00 - 14:00
Join us for an in-depth discussion with Ambassador Tom Hanney, Permanent Representative of Ireland to the European Union and Sean McGuire, Director for Europe, CBI.
Discussions will focus on UK-EU relations since the entering into force of the Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA), as well as on bilateral co-operation between the UK and Republic of Ireland, notably on the Northern Ireland Protocol.
This event is the perfect opportunity to hear how we can build on the TCA and pose your burning questions to our speakers during an interactive Q&A.
Following introductory remarks from Sean McGuire, Ambassador Hanney will provide an insight into how we can build a positive relationship between the UK and EU, with a fully functioning Protocol as a central component of that relationship, as well as giving an overview of Ireland’s priorities at an EU level, as we hopefully move out of the current health and economic crisis.
