In Discussion with the Director for International Climate Policy, European Commission

Join us for an in-depth discussion with Ms Elina Bardram, Director for International Relations at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Climate Action, as we take stock, following COP26.

The discussion will focus on how to build on momentum created in Glasgow and promote strong EU-UK cooperation driving a more resilient, competitive, net zero future. We must continue to work with partners around the world to coordinate action to tackle climate change and support progress at an international level.

The event is an opportunity to hear further detail on the EU’s climate action agenda, in the context of its Fit for 55 package, and to explore how business and governments can work in partnership to achieve shared goals globally.

Following introductory remarks from Sean McGuire, Ms Bardram will provide insight into EU climate action following COP26, as well as opportunities for EU-UK cooperation going forward. We will also hear from Tania Kumar, Head of Decarbonisation, CBI, on the key outcomes at COP26 and the next steps for the CBI.

By attending this event you will:

  • Gain insight into COP26 negotiations, and the key outcomes from Glasgow
  • Understand the future direction of travel in the EU when it comes to international climate action
  • Have the opportunity to demonstrate business leadership in driving the transition to net zero
  • Build your profile by sharing ideas with fellow senior business leaders.
