In Discussion with Matthew Percival, Director of People and Skills, CBI

COVID-19 has dramatically changed the employment landscape and created uncertainty and new challenges for businesses. In parallel, the recent Queen’s speech was a first glimpse at the UK government’s post-Brexit, post-Covid agenda.

We are delighted to be joined by the CBI’s Director for People and Skills, Matthew Percival, alongside Gareth John, Chief Executive of First Intuition for an open conversation around some key issues on the horizon including youth employability, reskilling, employee relations trends and what to look out for in the Employment Bill next year.

With a focus on productivity and what is coming down the track on the government agenda, this session will arm you with the intelligence you need to minimise disruption from COVID-19 in the years ahead.

Attend and you will:

  • Gain insight into the government’s agenda
  • Look at the role businesses can play in supporting young people whose education has been disrupted by the pandemic and who face heightened youth unemployment
  • Shape the CBI’s input to key issues in the Skills and Post-16 Education Bill
  • Have the chance to hear and learn from ‘real life’ case studies from our event sponsor, First Intuition.
