Member consultation on government investment in adult retraining

Following the launch of the National Skills Fund consultation, join us at this roundtable to share your priorities for government investment in adult retraining.

The session will focus on how the £2.5bn National Skills Fund can best support people to develop and acquire the skills employers need. The CBI will be responding to the consultation and looking to ensure this investment can deliver upon the priorities for business.

We are looking for CBI member views in three areas:

  1. What are the critical skills demands facing employers and how can the skills system remain agile in its response?
  2. Are ‘Skills Bootcamps’ a good method of addressing the challenges facing firms? How can they be improved?
  3. How can the Lifetime Skills Guarantee be used to support retraining for the demands of our economy?

Further information:

This session is aimed at members who have a working understanding of skills issues or an interest in this area. The session will be held under the Chatham House rule. Views will inform the CBI consultation response.
