In May, the CBI launched Seize the Moment: an economic strategy to transform the UK economy. We have identified six business-led opportunities – prizes – that the UK could capture by 2030, worth around £700bn. But your input is vital to successfully capturing these prizes.
What actions do businesses need to take to achieve these prizes? And what support do you and your business need to attain them?
From accelerating digital strategies to developing new products, services and business models, innovation has been critical for businesses throughout the pandemic. Looking ahead, innovation will continue to be a driver of growth and competitiveness for businesses and the UK.
The government has been clear that innovation is vital to achieving its ambitions around net zero, levelling up and global Britain. Our partners and competitors in the US, the EU and China are already accelerating innovation, recognising that it is core to competitiveness and tackling national and global challenges.
Join us to share in and influence the CBI’s actions to business and government over the coming year, as we take a deep dive into how we can adopt innovative and breakthrough ideas, together.
In this session, you will hear from the CBI and fellow business leaders about the environment and opportunities for innovation in the UK. You will also have the opportunity to input and gain insight into the CBI’s work plans for the next 12 months, and shape our new KPIs to be announced at Annual Conference.
The sessions are aimed at all members and will be used to inform the CBI’s 2022 workplan. We encourage businesses to attend multiple sessions, sending the relevant representatives to the respective sessions, and welcome your reactions and feedback wherever you are on your journey across the themes.
