People and skills network: The agenda moving into 2021

The ongoing Covid-restrictions in place across the UK, labour market data showing a record number of redundancies, and uncertainty around Brexit are all factors affecting the ability of businesses to plan for the future, with many still in survival mode. Although the recent news of a vaccine provides hope for the future, it is still too early to know just how the virus and the economy will evolve in 2021.

The aim of this session is to discuss how UK businesses are preparing for a challenging environment in the times ahead and how the CBI can continue to support the business community.

Led by the CBI's Director for People and Skills, Matthew Percival, this session will welcome members from across the UK to explore businesses' views for 2021 and discuss what extra support is needed from government to navigate these uncertain times.

Following a national policy update you will have the opportunity to join a cross-sector breakout session addressing:

  • Your main learnings from 2020
  • Your company's main people and skills priorities for 2021
  • Any extra support that your business would like to see from government to help build confidence
  • What more you would like to see from the CBI going forward

Join us for the opportunity to:

  • Equip your business with the latest policy insights from the CBI's senior People and Skills team to navigate the uncertainty ahead
  • Expand your professional network through a cross-sector breakout discussion with businesses from across the UK
  • Exchange ideas on how to prepare for the future with industry peers within and beyond your region / nation

You will particularly benefit from this session if you are:

  • Chief of People
  • Head of HR
  • HR Director
  • Director of People/Talent
  • Diversity and Inclusion Lead
