The ongoing Covid-restrictions in place across the UK, labour market data showing a record number of redundancies, and uncertainty around Brexit are all factors affecting the ability of businesses to plan for the future, with many still in survival mode. Although the recent news of a vaccine provides hope for the future, it is still too early to know just how the virus and the economy will evolve in 2021.
The aim of this session is to discuss how UK businesses are preparing for a challenging environment in the times ahead and how the CBI can continue to support the business community.
Led by the CBI's Director for People and Skills, Matthew Percival, this session will welcome members from across the UK to explore businesses' views for 2021 and discuss what extra support is needed from government to navigate these uncertain times.
