The first quarter of 2021 started with a national lockdown and a rapid mass vaccination programme across the UK. We now have a route out of lockdown for business and the security of knowing that the Job Retention Scheme will be available until September.
Meanwhile, the transition to hybrid workplaces, employees’ mental health and wellbeing, and the challenges associated with the skills agenda are topics that remain high on the business agenda.
The aim of this session is to discuss how organisations are navigating the exit out of lockdown and the preparations they are making to meet the challenges and opportunities ahead.
Led by Matthew Percival, Director for People and Skills, CBI, this session will welcome members from across the UK to explore businesses' analysis of the first quarter of 2021 and discuss what extra support is needed from government to tackle upcoming challenges and opportunities as we emerge from the pandemic.
