Mental health has become one of the biggest concerns for employers since the beginning of the pandemic with a significant proportion of the UK workforce working from home on a permanent basis. Many employees have had to juggle work and home-schooling commitments, as well as being put on furlough, whilst the dividing lines between work and life have faded.
In response, employers have stepped up to the challenge and worked hard to support their employees’ wellbeing as best as they can. The CBI’s new guide Keep Mental Health Front of Mind highlights good practices that firms have taken during the COVID-19 pandemic to support their employees’ mental health and wellbeing, and provides food for thought as to which practices businesses need to keep going forward.
The objective of this session is to facilitate a discussion around members’ experiences, best practice, and practical steps to enable businesses to better support the mental health and wellbeing of their employees.
